I purchased this horn when it was introduced and got it for about $550.00. I do not play the picc and frequently as I do my other horns and did not want to invest a great deal in a horn to sit on the self. It has served my purpose for the occasional gigs I need to do with it. My complaint is that the picture does not match the horn. The slides are on the left side of my horn and make it somewhat difficult to hold during performance. I have tried to email the Winston company at least 8 times for a response and no one has sent a response. Overall, if you need an auxillary horn it works. There are pitch problems with most small bore horns. Alternate fingering work to solve some of this issue with the notes E and G. Because the slides are on the left, it makes it somewhat uncomfortable if you have a long passage to play like "The Trumpet Shall Sound" - Messiah. It took almost a year for me to fully break in the valves and now they respond with great ease. If you need an affordable auxillary, this may work.
